Fire Safety

Cast iron piping provides exceptional fire resistance, lasting the lifespan of a building without emitting harmful gases. Minimal and cost-effective firestopping measures are necessary for installation.

In contrast, PVC piping is combustible, requiring costly intumescent firestopping systems.

DINSEN® SML Drainage system has been rigorously tested for fire resistance, achieving a classification of A1 according to EN 12823 and EN ISO 1716. Its advantages include:

Sound Protection

In contrast, PVC piping, though cost-effective, tends to produce more noise due to its lower density and the necessity of cementing pipe and fittings. Additional expenses are required for insulating materials like fiberglass or neoprene foam jackets.
